Topic: You Are Designed For Dominion

Scripture: Judges 6:11-16

Dominion is the expression of authority over an environment or situation. It is the ability to effect change rather than waiting for change to happen. A person of dominion takes responsibility instead of giving excuses. And when God created you, He designed you for dominion on earth.

Gideon grew up in an environment of fear and intimidation. The Midianites were oppressing Israel and robbing them of their livelihood. The mindset of the Israelites was to endure the oppression until God decides to save them. But God had designed a man, Gideon, for victory over the situation everybody was afraid of. When Gideon embraced his identity, the oppression stopped.

The enemy will always try to destroy and oppress as long as God’s people think like victims. But when you acknowledge the authority you have in Christ and you put it to use, the enemy is forced to flee. You are designed to effect change and determine what happens in your environment according to the will of God. You are God’s battle axe. Exercise your dominion.

Prayer: Father, You have not given me a spirit of fear. You have given me Your Spirit for dominion. I take responsibility and I enforce Your will in my life.
