Topic: Build Capacity For More

Scripture: 2 Kings 4:1-7

The story of the widow who was about to lose her two sons to the creditors is a testimony of restoration and abundance. We see El Shaddai, the All-sufficient One, manifest Himself by giving the widow a supernatural supply of oil in order to clear her debts and break the cycle of poverty. With her little pot of oil, she kept pouring into vessels until there were no more empty vessels to fill.

The interesting thing about her testimony is that the level of abundance she would receive was not determined by God, but by her capacity. God has no limits; His supply of grace does not diminish. The determining factor has always been the capacity of man. If the woman had only 2 vessels, she would have wealth of 2 vessels. If she had a 1,000 vessels, that would be the level of her breakthrough. She determined the limit of her restoration by the number of empty vessels available.

God’s grace at work in your life has no limits. There is no demand or situation that is too much for God. As long as you make room, grace will be supplied. If you can stretch your faith beyond the limitations of your human thinking, you will see the overflow of God’s goodness in your life. It will be to you, according to your faith. It is time to build capacity.

Prayer: Father, I know there is nothing too hard for You. By Your Spirit, I enlarge my faith and increase my capacity to receive the blessing You have prepared for me.
