Topic: Trust God’s Timing
Scripture: John 11:1-32
To feel forgotten is to come to a point where it seems your contributions are not recognized, or your needs are not prioritised. In John 11:5, we see that Jesus loved Lazarus and his sisters. However, they could have felt forgotten when Jesus did not immediately respond to their call to heal Lazarus. “Maybe we are not priority. He has more important things to do.” And when Lazarus died, the frustration was even greater. Martha and Mary both said to Jesus, “If you had been here, our brother wouldn’t have died.”
But Jesus truly loved them and was aware of what they were going through. The seeming delay was for a greater testimony of resurrection; a testimony that will make people travel from far and wide just to see the man Jesus brought back from the dead. The timing of God was necessary for the uniqueness of the testimony.

We must trust God’s timing regarding the fulfillment of His word. When it seems like it’s getting worse, when it feels like it has delayed, you must be confident in God’s plan for your life. He is too faithful to forget, and too mindful of you to ignore your needs. At the right time, He will give you a testimony that exceeds your expectation.
Prayer: Father, You remain my focus. I am not forgotten because I am loved by You and called by Your name. I trust You to perfect all that concerns me at the appointed time.
