Topic: Absolute Dependence On God

Scripture Reading: John 15:1-8

God will never give you an assignment that you can accomplish on your own. He did not create you to be independent. The best of man is only seen when he is in partnership with God. When Jesus was on earth, he stated emphatically, “I can do nothing on my own.” (John 5:30) He had to always depend on the Father.

Within every season, phase, or assignment is a provision of help from your Father to enable you to succeed. God has sent His Spirit to dwell within us as our primary source of help. There is no challenge of life that He cannot help you with because He is the source of all wisdom, creativity, and power. He can quicken your mind, strengthen your body, and even pull men from the ends of the earth just to help you.

But we must be humble enough to acknowledge our dependence on Him. Pride is a trait of Satan that makes a man think that he does not need God. And whenever that seed is in a man, God resists him but He will give grace to the humble; those who consistently acknowledge God as their source. There is a release of grace today for you, as you yield to the authority of God over your life.

Prayer: Thank You, my Father, for being my help and strength always.
