Topic: You Are Set Apart For His Glory

Scripture: 2 Timothy 2:19-23

At the end of the first chapter of Daniel, we see an amazing testimony of how God displayed His glory in four young men. When Daniel and his three friends were examined, they were found to be ten times better in all matters of wisdom and understanding than the magicians and astrologers in Babylon (Daniel 1:20). They began the chapter as captives from Israel, and ended it as leaders. God lifted these captives to a place of honour in a foreign land.

But the distinction did not begin with the testimony. It began with a separation and consecration. When all the other captives were busy eating and drinking from the king’s table, Daniel and his friends honoured God by refusing to indulge in the pagan delicacies. They honoured God, even when no one was watching, and God lifted them up publicly.

In a season of restoration, we don’t wait to see the testimony before we honour God. In our words, thoughts, and actions, even when no one is watching, we must live to please our Father. There may be times when it seems easier to compromise, but we must stand our ground. When we are separated from the corruption of the world, we position ourselves for the release of His glory, and the manifestation of testimonies in our lives. Let God be honoured in your life always.

Prayer: Father, I choose to honour You always. I receive grace to separate from every ungodliness so that Your glory will be seen in me.
