Topic: Break Every Ungodly Cycle
Scripture: Genesis 26:15-30
A cycle is a sequence of events or actions that is regularly repeated. Some cycles are productive, like the cycle of seedtime and harvest, which guarantees increase. But there are also cycles that interfere with a person’s productivity and increase. A student repeatedly falling sick when it is time for exams and not being able to pass is an ungodly cycle. Being constantly disappointed or sabotaged in your endeavours is another example of an ungodly cycle. The enemy uses these cycles to steal, kill, and destroy every blessing that has been ordained for God’s people.
Isaac had to deal with an ungodly cycle. He decided to open up the wells that Abraham dug, which the Philistines had covered with sand. When Isaac dug open the wells, the Philistines came and covered it up. Isaac changed location, tried to open up other wells, and the Philistines appeared again to cover them up. It had become an ungodly cycle. Eventually, Isaac got to Rehoboth and the cycle stopped. He dug a well and no one came to cover it up or contend for ownership. Rehoboth was a place of rest and restoration where the cycle of contention was broken.

As a child of God, Rehoboth does not have to be a physical location. This new season is ordained to mark the end of every ungodly cycle in your life. You have the power and authority in Christ Jesus to eliminate every ungodliness that is interfering with your advancement. There is a release of God’s grace for rest and restoration. You can walk boldly in freedom, knowing that every cycle against you has come to an end. Stand your ground in faith and silence every noise of the enemy around you.
Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for victory over every ungodly cycle.
