Topic: Look Into The Word
Scripture: Numbers 13:17-33
The way you see yourself will determine how you make use of the dominion and authority God has given you. If you see yourself as weak, there will be no power at work in you. But if you see yourself as one who is empowered by God, everything around you will respond accordingly. The Word of God is the mirror that will show you your true identity and potential in Christ.
Twelve spies were sent to spy Canaan, the land that God promised to Israel. Joshua and Caleb returned with a mindset of dominion: “God will give us the land.” The other ten said, “There are giants. We were like grasshoppers, and they saw us like grasshoppers.” The environment reflected back the mindset they had. They saw themselves as small, and the enemy agreed with their mentality and put fear in them. They became people full of excuses instead of people filled with faith.
There are enemies and negative situations that will feel at home around you if your mindset permits them. If you see yourself as small, they will treat you as small. But if you see the power of God upon you, they will flee. Agree with God today by choosing to see yourself the way He sees you; as a carrier of His power. See what He is continually saying about you.
Prayer: Father, I believe I am who You say I am. Open my eyes by Your Spirit to see my true self in Your Word.
