Topic: Shift From Excuses To Faith
Scripture: John 5:1‐11
When Jesus went to the lame man at the pool of Bethesda, it marked a new beginning for someone who had been stuck in the same cycle for thirty-eight years. This was his breakthrough moment. Everything he had longed for was about to unfold before his very eyes. Although there were so many people Jesus could have interacted with, the grace and mercy of God had elected this lame man for a miracle.
Unfortunately, he could not see it. He was carrying hurt and disappointment from past seasons. He was used to talking about excuses rather than professing faith. He had the mentality of a victim rather than an overcomer. In order to receive his breakthrough, he had to shift from excuses to obedience by faith. It was time for him to rise, take up his bed, and walk.
This new month gives us an opportunity to enjoy a new level of God’s mercy and favour. There are new doors, new testimonies, and new opportunities to be embraced. Don’t let excuses from a past season stop you from embracing what God has for you today. Shift into faith because there is a release from heaven for you!
Prayer: Father, I embrace this new season with faith. By the help of Your Spirit, I prepare myself to step into new levels that You have ordained for me.
