Topic: Finding Your Cutting Edge
Scripture: Galatians 2:1-9
Everyone has a God-given advantage for impact on earth. It is easy to talk about the disadvantages and challenges we face. We can describe, with great detail, the limitations placed on us because of our location, the stress we face, and how others have it easier. However, each of us is uniquely designed to impact the world like no one else can.
Apostle Paul was not privileged to be one of the disciples of Jesus who witnessed his ministry on earth. Before his conversion, he persecuted the church and was complicit in the killing of Stephen. Some of the brethren did not trust his conversion. In the midst of all that, Paul became one of the most prominent apostles in the early church. He found his cutting edge, which was the grace to minister to Gentiles, plant churches, and provide order and structure for the growth and establishment of churches. His cutting-edge ministry silenced his disadvantages.
Being at the cutting edge of a field or discipline means being involved in its most important and impactful developments. You are positioned at this time in history to leave a mark by reason of the anointing of God upon your life. It is your duty to not just identify your advantage but use it in a way that silences everything that will try to oppose you. You are a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. You matter, and you have an advantage. Arise, shine!
Prayer: Father, You have formed and empowered me uniquely. I arise, by Your Spirit upon me, to impact my world.
