Topic: You’re Not An Imposter
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 1:20-31
Moses said, “Who am I, that I should go before Pharoah?” Gideon said, “My family is poor, and I am the least in the house.” Jeremiah said, “I am a child.” Peter said, “I am a sinful man.” These great heroes of faith, and many more in scripture, had to overcome the false identity which was holding them back from embracing their divine purpose.
If you are going to walk in the fullness of God’s plan for your life, you will come to the point where you realize that you are not naturally qualified or equipped for this level. Every plan of God is bigger than the man God chooses to execute it. He does it so you can rely on Him and not your ability. Rather than doubting yourself, God wants you to believe in Him and in His power at work in you.
You’re not an imposter; you are called and chosen for this season. He chooses the weak so that they can express His strength. He chooses the simple to display His excellence. And He calls the broken to reveal His power. The devil will whisper lies to make you feel disqualified. But God has called you, justified you by His grace, and anointed you for His purpose. You are God’s choice!
Prayer: Father, I declare by faith that I am called, chosen, and anointed for greater works. I am justified by grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
