Topic: Your Eyes Are Being Opened

Scripture: Luke 24:13-34

Cleopas and his friend were heading to Emmaus, and as they went, they were troubled because three days earlier, Jesus had been crucified. In their reasoning, it seemed like a sad end for “a prophet who was mighty in word and deed before God and before people.” Whiles they were talking, Jesus joined them and the scripture says, their eyes were kept from recognising him. (Luke 24:16)

The answer to their pain and frustration was right there with them and they could not see it, they just saw a man. And this is the story of many Believers; that there is a release of blessing, restoration, and grace for a new level but their eyes (the perception of their hearts) are kept from recognising what has been given. Fortunately for Cleopas and his friend, as they communed with Jesus, they received understanding and their eyes were opened to recognize the risen Lord. They moved from sorrow to excitement because they could finally see the Blessing that had been with them all this while.

The Holy Spirit is opening the eyes of God’s people to see what our Father has given us in this season. You will not miss your restoration. God will show you the way to go. Like Cleopas, your understanding is being enlightened so you can recognise the divine answers around you.

Prayer: Father, open my eyes by Your Spirit. Help me to see Your hand at work in my life.
