Topic: Your Consistency Will Distinguish You
Scripture: Acts 10:1-20
One definition of consistency is to always behave or perform in a similar way. It is an established pattern without contradiction in its expression. To be consistent in your walk with God is to come to a place where your commitment and service to Him does not change or fluctuate with circumstances in your life. It takes a lot of time and effort to remain committed to the affairs of the Kingdom, and sometimes, our natural self gets tired and weak. You may even encounter people who will mock your dedication, sowing seeds of doubt in your heart. But the truth is, God sees your service, He is aware of your dedication, and it is serving a purpose that is bigger than you.
Cornelius, a Roman officer and captain of the Italian regiment, was described as a devout man who gave alms and always prayed to God. He was a gentile, and yet, he consistently committed his time and resources to the service of God. The Lord saw it all, and when it was time for the Gospel to be preached to the Gentiles, Cornelius became the prototype. His encounter and receiving of the Holy Spirit showed the apostles the plan of God for Gentiles all over the world.

Cornelius never imagined that his commitment to giving and praying would be used by God for global impact. But he kept sowing the seed of commitment, and God brought a harvest. Are there areas in your life that require consistency? Be encouraged because God sees your heart and acknowledges your commitment. It is serving a purpose bigger than you. In due time, you will see the harvest, a harvest that goes beyond you but touches so many others. God is faithful, and He will reward you.
Prayer: Father, I receive strength by Your Spirit to remain steadfast in my commitment and service to You, knowing it is serving a purpose bigger than I can imagine.
