Topic: You Have Power In The Secret Place

Scripture: James 5:13-18

A man rose up and stopped rain from falling for three and a half years. His name was Elijah. Another man stopped the sun from setting so that he could finish his business of the day. He suspended the rotation of the earth on its axis, defying the laws of nature. His name was Joshua. A woman stopped the annihilation of the Jewish nation after a royal decree for their massacre had been signed by the most powerful king at the time. That woman was Esther.

These people and so many others in scripture had the audacity to effect change because they understood the power they had in the place of prayer. Ordinary men and women could change situations and suspend natural laws in the secret place. That privilege is available to God’s people today.

You have power waiting to be tapped into in the secret place. Certain challenges still persist just because you are yet to apply yourself to the tremendous power that Christ has given. That power is found in the secret place of prayer, and it has been freely given to you. When you pray in faith, power is released and change is inevitable. Put that power to work and let God be glorified in your life.

Prayer: Father, I acknowledge the tremendous power available to me through prayer. Today, I embrace my authority in Christ to exercise dominion on earth.
