Topic: What’s On Your Mind?
Scripture Reading: Philippians 4:6-8
The culture of social media is largely driven by this question: “What’s on your mind?” And the result is the freedom of expression being displayed. Every thought, belief, and lifestyle, no matter how noble or depraved, is being shared. It is against community standards to speak against a person’s beliefs. That is the world we live in, but that is not the culture of the Kingdom we belong to.
In the Kingdom, we don’t just express anything that comes to mind. We FIX our minds on things that are noble and pure. We GUARD our minds from pollution. And we RENEW our minds in order to have the mind of Christ.
Your mind is the processing unit of your life. Just like a computer, if you give your mind garbage, it will process it and let your life reflect garbage. If your mind feeds on glory, your life will reflect glory. You must protect your mind from any thought that will not lead you to a glorious life. Thoughts of fear, pride, and all kinds of negativity will try to take root. But don’t let them. You have the mind of Christ. So think like Christ, and you will live like Christ.
Prayer: Father, help me to fix my mind on You, to guard my mind from evil, and to renew my mind by Your Word.
