Topic: Uniquely Equipped for Purpose
Scripture: Philippians 2:12-15
Every child of God has an assignment on earth. The assignment existed before you were born. That’s why God fashioned and equipped you with all you need to accomplish it. One of the indicators of our assignment is the desire we have for impact.
Nehemiah, a high official of the Persian court, was burdened by a desire that had nothing to do with the Persian court. He saw the broken walls of Jerusalem, and he had an overwhelming burden to fix it. He was not the only Jew to have noticed the broken walls, but he was the one with the level of desire required to fix it. That was no ordinary desire, but a God-inspired push to enable him to fulfil the assignment.
God plants desires in us for the fulfilment of His will. The fact that others don’t see it does not cancel what God has called you to do. Take every burden and desire to God, and let the will of God be done. You are uniquely gifted, you are not a photocopy. Embrace the uniqueness of your assignment and let God be glorified through your life.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for being at work in me. Help me to stay true to the assignment You have given me.
