Topic: The Time Of Harvest

Scripture Reading: Acts 9:36-42

Everyone who plants seeds expects harvest. But there is a right time for every seed to produce its harvest. It takes a maximum of 100 days to plant and harvest tomato, 8 months to plant and harvest yam, and about 3-5 years to plant and harvest cocoa. Likewise, in the Kingdom, you don’t need to compare your harvest time to others because your seed is unique. Your good works will be rewarded at the appointed time.

Dorcas had been a blessing to the saints at Joppa, especially to the widows. The bible describes her as a woman who was “full of good works.” She was not named among the wealthiest nor the most powerful in Joppa. But a time came when she fell sick and died. The saints in Joppa hurriedly sent for Apostle Peter, who was in a neighbouring town. When Peter arrived, they showed him the good works of Dorcas and the garments she had sewn for the widows. It was harvest time. Peter prayed for her, and she rose up. The testimony of her resurrection spread through the town, and many more people believed in the Lord. What a harvest!

Do not despise your seed. Don’t be tired of doing good. People may not always appreciate it, some may take it for granted, but if you persist in planting your seed, your harvest will surely come. To that person who is getting weary and frustrated, let this word grant you strength. Hold on because your harvest is near.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for the opportunity You have given me to produce good works. I receive strength to continue in order to receive my appointed harvest.
