Topic: The Power Of His Presence
Scripture Reading: Exodus 33:12-17
“If You don’t personally go with us, don’t make us leave this place.” This was the cry of Moses as he spoke to God about the move to the promised land. He didn’t ask for more miracles or power for the journey. He didn’t ask for sophisticated weapons or for an abundant supply of food. He identified the one thing they could not afford to do without.
Moses understood that no matter the results you have in your life, if you don’t have God’s presence, you are not special. It is His presence that sets us apart, keeping us a step ahead and shielding us from all danger. But Moses was not talking about a passive expression of the presence of God. He wanted the dimension of God’s presence that leads and directs.
As people of God, we have God’s assurance that He will be with us always. The Holy Spirit never leaves us. But the power of His presence is not seen by those who casually acknowledge Him. It is in our conscious submission to the influence of His presence that we experience the power that sets us apart. God is with you, even now. But how much of Him you see depends on how much of you has been surrendered to Him. When you begin to consciously carry God’s presence, His power and glory will be seen in you, and there will be no need to fear.
Prayer: Father, thank You for always being with me. I choose to consciously follow Your leading as I carry Your Presence.
