Topic: Receive Fresh Strength

Scripture: Acts 9:10-22

Acts 9:22 tells us that Paul (Saul) increased in strength. This is at the beginning of Paul’s ministry, and the background to that statement is the fact that the reputation of Paul as a persecutor of the church was making people doubt if he had really been saved and converted. There were questions, some people thought it was a trap, and others were busy recounting all his grievous acts against the church. As far as they were concerned, it was the same old Paul.

There was a great destiny ahead of Paul as an Apostle of Christ, but here he was being judged by his past, being restricted by things he could not change. Very often, we are faced with restrictions in our bid to follow God’s will. It may be the past, lack of resources, low self-esteem, etc. These things come to weaken and intimidate your faith. The good news is that God is aware, and He is releasing fresh strength your way to overcome every hurdle. In spite of all the murmurings and negativity, Paul increased in strength.

Our strength is in God. Whenever we come to our wits end, He shows up to refresh us and to give us clarity. You may be in a difficult season or environment right now, that seems to be preventing the manifestation of God’s glory in your life. Hear God’s word to you: there is a release of fresh strength coming your way. It is bringing you courage, fresh ideas, new connections, and divine supply. You will not faint because the Lord of hosts is your strength.

Prayer: Father, I receive fresh strength to accomplish all that You have designed for me.
