Topic: Purpose In The Chaos

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 2:4-8

It is amazing how the life of Jesus on earth fulfilled so many prophecies in scripture. He was purposeful and intentional in the way he lived, always seeking to please the Father. But the purposeful life of Jesus was not achieved by his obedience alone. The evil plans of the enemy played a part. In his wickedness, the devil still remains a creation of God, and all his antics will ultimately lead to the fulfilment of God’s plan in the lives of His people.

When Herod decided to kill every male child from two years and under in order to eliminate the Messiah, it looked like a chaotic situation, causing Joseph and Mary to flee to Egypt with Jesus. But we realize that there was a prophetic word that God would call His Son out of Egypt (Matthew 2:15). The wickedness of Herod led to the fulfilment of that word. The temptation of the devil led to the strengthening of Jesus. The crucifixion on the cross led to the salvation of mankind, giving him a name above all names.

Whatever the enemy plans for evil would always work out God’s ultimate plan. Knowing this, we do not fret when we see chaos. We are not intimidated by the enemy and his schemes. When things seem to be going out of control, we fix our eyes on the Lord. Because He will bring purpose out of the chaos. In everything, give thanks because the will of God will be done.

Prayer: Father, I acknowledge that You are in control. So I thank You even in the chaos and confusion, because Your plan for me still stands.
