Topic: Protect The Gift

Scripture: Exodus 2:1-10

Every gift that God gives you must be protected so that the enemy does not destroy it. If you cannot recognize the gifts God has given you, it allows the thief to steal, kill, and destroy. A gift can be a skill, an assignment, a relationship, or a child. If you do not recognize it as a gift, you will become careless and allow the enemy to interfere. But your ability to recognize what God has given you will equip you with the wisdom and sensitivity you need to protect it.

Amram and Jochebed received a gift from God; a child who would deliver Israel from slavery. His name was Moses. But right at birth, the enemy was after his life. Thankfully, Jochebed recognized that this child was a special blessing that must be preserved at all cost. When Pharaoh’s soldiers were killing all the Hebrews boys, Jochebed hid her baby, acknowledging that he was not like other children. When she couldn’t hide him any longer, she received wisdom on how he could be preserved, and she eventually found favour that allowed her to raise her son in peace.

God will give you the strength and wisdom you need to guard the precious gifts in your life. But you must first be able to identify them. Acknowledge that these gifts are not ordinary, but they are given by God so that you can succeed. It doesn’t matter what strategies the enemy will employ, as long as you are conscious of the good gifts in your life, God will ensure that they are preserved.

Prayer: Father, open my eyes by Your Spirit so that I can recognize every good and precious gift in my life.
