Topic: Prepare For The Testimony
Scripture Reading: John 2:1-11
One important question that Christians often deal with is, “When will God do it?” We want to have an idea when the testimony will happen so we can know how long the waiting period is. At the wedding in Cana, a situation arose that required a miracle. The wine had finished ahead of schedule. Mary believed that Jesus had the power to fix the problem. When she told him about it, he denied her request by making reference to timing. He said, “My time is not yet.”
Mary didn’t debate about the time. She just prepared the servants for the testimony. “Whatever he tells you to do, do it.” There was faith, and there was preparation. Jesus acted. Despite his initial reluctance, he could see that the servants were ready to respond to whatever he said. He performed his first public miracle, showcasing his glory. It happened because Mary decided to prepare even when she was told that it wasn’t time.
Waiting on God is not about the mere passage of time but rather being ready and equipped to receive what God has already prepared for you. Be intentional about your preparation for the testimony. Be prepared to be a Godly spouse while waiting for the marriage. Be prepared to address world leaders while waiting for the elevation. Be prepared to be a blessing to others while waiting for the increase. This is a season of glory. Live prepared.
Meditation: Are you prepared and equipped to receive what you are praying for?
