Topic: Obtaining God’s Provision For You
Scripture Reading: Mark 14:12-16
One of the revelations we have of our Father in Scripture is that He is Jehovah Jireh. He is our provider. Abraham experienced this on Mount Moriah when he realized God had already provided a ram for sacrifice instead of Isaac. Elijah experienced it when he was supernaturally fed by ravens and later directed to a specific widow in Zarephath for sustenance. In our anchor text, Jesus instructs two of his disciples to locate a place divinely provided for the celebration of the passover.
We could go on and on, listing instances of God’s provision in the lives of His people. The faithfulness of God ensures that we do not lack any good thing. There is one common denominator, however, in all of these instances. God’s provision is seen by those who follow His direction. God provides for those He guides.
The disciples did not just set out to make plans for the passover. They asked for direction. “Where should we go?” God is ready to show up as your provider. All it takes is your obedience to His direction. Like the disciples, we must ask, “Where should I go?”, “What should I do?”, “Who do I connect to?” Everything you will ever need has already been provided. Your abundance awaits your obedience.
Prayer: Father, lead me by Your Spirit into all that You have prepared for me.
