Topic: Mercy Has Found You

Scripture: John 5:1-9

Bethesda – the house of mercy! At this pool of Bethesda, there were all kinds of broken and hurting people waiting for a stirring of the water so they could finally receive restoration. The problem with such systems was that you needed to be fast and smart enough to be the first person to get in the water in order to be healed and restored.

But while they all waited for the stirring of the water, a superior system of mercy walked in – Jesus! And he went straight to the man who had been stuck for 38 years; a man who had no way of figuring things out on his own. By faith in Jesus, he received his healing even though he was the least likely, based on natural ability. The mercy of God gave him a superior advantage, when people said he didn’t qualify.

Today, the mercy of God is coming through for you. By faith in Jesus, you can receive a blessing and a restoration beyond your natural qualification. Others may have gone ahead, but God is giving you a testimony that will reveal His glory.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your mercy towards me through Jesus Christ. By faith, I receive healing, wholeness, and restoration.
