Topic: Let God Use You
Scripture: 2 Kings 5:1-14
When we think of how God will use us to be a blessing to the world, a lot of people think of a life of success, great achievements, receiving an award, and in your acceptance speech you acknowledge God as the doer. And that might be true for some. But God is not waiting for your earthly success before He is glorified. Even in the struggle, in the growth process, in the low moments, God wants to use you to bless others.
It was the will of God that a mighty Syrian General, commander of the king’s army, would come to know and worship Him. But God did not use another army general or high-ranking officer to save this general called Naaman. He did not use an astute politician or a successful businessman. He used a young girl who was captured from Israel and had become a maid to Naaman’s wife. In her role as a maid, she offered counsel that totally transformed the life of the general. He was healed from leprosy, and he came to know the true God just because a little girl was willing to speak up.
God is ready to be glorified through your life. It may not be the stage you imagined or in the way you expect it to happen. But even in your lowest moments, He can cause your light to shine bright. In your struggle, He can use you to uplift others. In your confusion, He can give you counsel for others. Don’t wait for the perfect conditions before yielding to Him. Let God use you to be a blessing to someone today.
Prayer: Father, take my life and use it for Your glory. No matter the season, no matter the place, I am available to You.
