Topic: Keep Trusting God

Scripture: Daniel 3:12-30

Trust is a firm belief in the nature, character, and intentions of a person towards you. It is so firm that even when your senses perceive something different, your confidence in the one you trust is not shaken. Trust is not based on what you currently see but on a conviction about a person’s integrity and reliability.

When Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were threatened with a fiery furnace for not bowing to an idol, they refused to reduce their trust in God to one outcome. They said that even if God did not deliver them, they would not bow. They trusted God so much that a negative experience will not shake them. Job said it this way, “Though He slay me, yet I will trust Him.” (Job 13:15)

Your trust in God should not depend on the circumstances of your life. It should be based on His faithfulness, the integrity of His Word, and the purity of His intentions towards you. If this is in place, you will realize that every season and every situation is working for your good. He will not leave you. He is so intentional about you that nothing is permitted around you unless it will ultimately work out His plan for your life. Keep trusting God.

Prayer: Father, I choose to trust You. I will not lean on my own understanding because Your plans for me are higher and better. No matter what I see around me, I still trust You.
