Topic: It Is Time For Your Voice To Be Heard
Scripture Reading: 2 Samuel 18:19-33
You were created with a unique sound, designed to accomplish your God-given assignment in a way no one else can imitate. When you discover that assignment, pursue it with all you’ve got, not minding the imitations and distractions. You are God’s masterpiece.
In 2 Samuel 18, we see a defining period of David’s reign as king of Israel. Absalom’s rebellion is at its peak, and David is at Mahanaim waiting to hear the outcome of the battle. This is where Cushi comes in. When Joab, the captain, needed someone to give a report of the battle to the king, Cushi was the man for the job because he had witnessed it all. Another man, Ahimaaz, tried to imitate the assignment and even arrived at Mahanaim ahead of Cushi. But he didn’t have the relevant sound. He had to stand aside and wait for the one chosen for this moment. It looked like a simple assignment, Cushi took a long route, and someone tried to overtake him, but in the end, they all had to wait for the man with the right message.
When you understand what God has equipped you for, you will have no business comparing yourself to others. The world needs your message. Everything you have been through, the challenges and the victories, has perfected you to deliver your message. It is time to run and let the world hear you. The stage is set for the glory of God to be seen through you.
Prayer: Father, I receive grace to serve Your purpose and do Your will in my generation.
