Topic: It Is Time For A Shift
Scripture Reading: Genesis 13:10-18
In our walk with God and pursuit of purpose, there are different experiences and provisions that God brings us into. These experiences are regulated by seasons. There is a unique experience for every season. But a new season does not begin with what your eyes can see, but what your mind can see. Experiencing a new season ordained by God begins with a new perspective; a shift.
Abraham and Lot are both stepping into new seasons. Lot is moving to a new location he has chosen, a land that is fertile, well-watered, like the garden of the Lord. That place is Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham, on the other hand, is not starting his new season in an amazing environment. Everything looked the same, until God appeared to him and said, “Lift up your eyes.” Abraham’s season was going to be anchored on a new perspective based on God’s word. In the end, Lot has to flee from the land because it is being destroyed, while Abraham goes from one level of greatness to another, according to God’s Word.
How can you tell if God has ushered you into a new season? Everything around you may look the same at the beginning. But you will see differently because there is a Word from God that has changed your perspective. A new perspective generates new thoughts, which birth new actions to produce a new harvest. It is a new season for you, and God is sending a word to change your perspective.
Prayer: Father, flood my mind with the light of Your Word so I can experience all that You have given me.
