Topic: Immeasurably More
Scripture: Genesis 17:1-8
God does not exaggerate. There is no hyperbole in Him. He says what He means, and He means what He says. Every word spoken is backed by power. That is why we can trust in His promises. The limitations in the life of a child of God are primarily down to how well they believe what God has said.
A lot of people hear the word of God and unconsciously behave as if God was just exaggerating. We’ve all had that one friend who could tell the most dramatic stories, and we take it with a pinch of salt. Because of the challenges and difficulties we face, there is a real tendency to water down the power of God’s promise. Abraham just wanted a child, and God said he would be a father of nations. That’s quite a stretch. For a man who didn’t have a child, believing that you would have nations sounded too good to be true.
There are divine promises and prophecies concerning you that may seem too good to be true. But God did not speak based on your ability or strength because you are limited. God’s Word is based on His unlimited power. This means that no matter how extravagant it seems, God is able to do just what He says He will do. Unleash your faith to believe for new levels because your Father can do Immeasurably more.
Prayer: Father, I believe Your Word. You are able to do far more than I can ask or think. Therefore, by faith, I enlarge my expectations to see Your glory in my life.
