Topic: He Already Fixed It
Scripture: John 6:5-14
The disciples of Jesus had quite the adventure for three and a half years. They saw miracles, healings, and deliverances. But sometimes it was like a roller-coaster ride, when they had to face challenges like sailing through a storm, paying tax when there was no money, or feeding multitudes. And anytime it looked like they had come to their wits end, Jesus always showed up with an answer.
Our anchor text highlights one of these roller-coaster moments. With five thousand men, plus women and children gathered, Jesus called Philip to ask him how they were going to feed the crowd. It must have been a stressful moment for Philip and the disciples because it looked like Jesus was giving them a responsibility beyond their capacity. They didn’t know how they were going to handle the challenge before them. But thankfully, the Scripture added that Jesus “already knew what he was going to do.” And with five loaves and two fish, he gave them another demonstration of the power of God by feeding over five thousand people and having twelve baskets of fragments left.
Like Philip, life may have presented you with a question or situation that seems beyond your capacity, making you feel stressed and frustrated. But you must know this: God already provided the answer before the challenge came. You will NEVER see a challenge that God has not already factored in His plan for your life. If you can trust Him to lead you, you will see His power. You will feed five thousand with five loaves, you will succeed where others have failed, and you will be a proof to others that God is real. The challenge may seem huge, but He already figured it out for you.
Prayer: Father, I believe that You have already worked things out for my good. I receive divine revelation and direction to follow Your plan so that I can overcome.
