Topic: God Is Intentional
Scripture Reading: Psalm 139:1-24
God is not erratic. He is a God of purpose, plans and covenants. Everything He does is in agreement with His word and predetermined counsel. With God, nothing just happens; everything fits into His plans.
In 1928, Alexander Fleming, revolutionized medical science through his discovery of penicillin which led to the production of antibiotics. However, this amazing discovery was not planned. He did not set out to find a cure for bacterial infections. It was serendipitous. However, with our God, there is no serendipity or guessing. He dwells in eternity, beholding the past, present, and future, simultaneously. And He is intentional.
If you belong to God and you are called for His purpose, then everything about you has been factored in the plan. Everything required has already been provided. Nothing is a surprise to God. So when life throws you a surprise, when you are faced with a situation you did not plan for, just rest in the knowledge that God already factored it in the plan, and it will work for your good.
Prayer: Father, thank you for your good and perfect plans for my life.
