Topic: God Is At Work In You
Scripture: Philippians 2:12-15
Have you ever had some work to do but you just couldn’t find the energy to do it? Or you try doing it anyway, but you’re so tired you end up doing it shabbily? Well, that could happen because, as humans, we do not have infinite energy. We need to be re-energized in order to keep functioning. Without that energy, things that were once exciting become tedious.
This is true, not just in our human activities, but also true in our relationship with God. We do not have the energy required to do the will of God consistently. That is why God already provided a way to keep us energised. He has set Himself as our source of motivation and strength.
The energy you need to do God’s will is found in Him, and He is working it out in you. Whether you are overseeing a congregation of 50,000 souls or raising a child, God is the one who gives strength for the fulfilment of His work. If you are getting weary and tired, just check your connection to your never-ending supply of strength. He knows you cannot do it on your own, and He has already provided the solution. God is at work in you, giving you the desire and energy to fulfil your purpose.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your strength within me that keeps me going against all odds.
