Topic: Embrace New Possibilities
Scripture Reading: Matthew 14:22-33
There are unlimited possibilities in the Kingdom of God. Jesus didn’t come to put restrictions and limitations on us. He came to show us that with God, all things are possible. If we will enjoy the benefits of the Kingdom, we must be ready to embrace new possibilities.
The disciples of Jesus were in a boat rowing in a storm. They embarked on that trip on the instructions of Jesus, so they were not outside the will of God. Whiles they were rowing, Jesus appeared walking on the sea. Somehow, Peter gets a revelation that he can also walk on water rather than keep rowing in the storm. The other eleven chose to stay in the boat, and that was fine. But Peter chose to express his dominion through faith by stepping out.
Peter showed us that there are greater levels in God that we can explore if only we believe. Rather than wait for things to get better, we can embrace new possibilities by the power of God at work in us. It is a new month! You may have been rowing your boat in the storm. But you have been empowered for greater works. Embrace new possibilities. It is time to walk on water.
