“He went inside and asked, ‘Why all this commotion and weeping? The child isn’t dead, she’s only asleep.’ The crowd laughed at him. But he made them all leave, . . . “ – Mark 5:39-40
There was an incident at the Ahmedabad airport in November 2016, when a plane had to abort its takeoff because there were monkeys on the runway. 189 passengers and crew heading to Chennai were delayed, not because the plane was faulty or that the airline told a lie about the time of departure. They were delayed because the runway had not been cleared, and so the plane could not run to generate the right speed required for flight.
God is about to showcase a greater dimension of His glory and power through His people, and you are one of those marked for this purpose. It’s a season of new levels, but unfortunately, there are monkeys on the runway. You may be struggling to find the momentum to move into what God has placed in your heart because there are disruptions and distractions.
In the scripture above, Jesus was about to resurrect a young girl. She was the daughter of Jairus, the leader of the local synagogue. This was a big deal because Jesus was going to demonstrate his power over death. And just like it is in every destiny-defining season, Jesus had to deal with disruptions before He could reveal His glory. He met an environment of commotion, mockery and unbelief, but he cleared the runway; he made them all leave.
God will give you grace for the next level, but it is your responsibility to clear the runway.
You are in a place of authority through your union with Christ, therefore you have the power to deal with anything that interrupts your momentum. You have power over fear, intimidation, apathy, and any situation that the enemy is using to keep you from embracing the greater possibilities God has in store for you. New levels could mean new business ideas, ministry doors, new territories, or a greater dimension of service in the Kingdom.
“But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” – 1 John 4:4
Stand your ground, and with the Word of God in your mouth, take charge of your environment. Clear the runway and soar to your next level.
