Topic: Blessed Beyond Any Curse
Scripture Reading: Numbers 23:8-26
When Jesus was nailed to the cross, He carried every curse that should be upon us (those who believe and receive Him) and made us partakers of the blessing of Abraham. The substitutionary sacrifice of Christ placed on us an eternal blessing, which is divine empowerment for life and godliness. If we are eternally blessed, can we be bound by a curse on earth?
Balak, king of Moab, was afraid of Israel and the progress they were making, so he hired Balaam to place a curse (a spiritual limitation or disadvantage) on Israel. Balaam would soon realize that it is impossible to curse the ones whom God has blessed. It is interesting to note, though, how Balak consistently tries to convince Balaam to find a way. That is how the enemy operates; always trying to find a way even when he knows he has been defeated.
If it was impossible to curse Israel in the old covenant, then there is no way a curse can be placed on one who has been redeemed by Christ, for there is none greater than Him. What we have received is the power to break curses and limitations over the lives of people and to introduce them to the abundant life in Christ. You have been blessed beyond any curse. Walk in the confidence of that reality.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for the blessing I have received through Christ. I am free from every curse and evil decree.
