Topic: A Call To Deeper Fellowship

Scripture: John 5:19-24

When God was about to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, He asked Himself, “Should I hide this from Abraham?” (Genesis 18:17) Abraham had a genuine and deep relationship with God, such that, God thought it necessary to reveal His thoughts and plans to him. And because of that relationship with God, Abraham’s nephew, Lot, was spared.

Divine revelation is a key benefit of our fellowship with God. He reveals His thoughts to those who love Him. Jesus, our perfect example, operated on earth on the strength of his connection to the Father. He depended on the Father and received consistent revelation from heaven which allowed him to overcome every situation he was faced with. This is how we are to operate as God’s children.

We can only operate in His will according to the degree of revelation we have received. And the level of revelation is dependent on the quality of fellowship. At a time when the world is faced with uncertainty and fear, God’s people have an advantage. Our Father loves us and wants to show us how to overcome. It is time for a deeper fellowship with the Spirit of God.

Prayer: Father, I desire to know more of You. Because You love me, I receive today, divine revelation of Your will for my life.
