Topic: The Power Of Consistency
Scripture Reading: Galatians 6:7-10
The seeds of a person’s success or failure can be found in their routine. This means that when you examine a person’s routine, you can most certainly predict how their story will unfold. This is true, not just in the general issues of life, but also in our relationship with God and fulfilment of His divine purpose. This idea that someday, everything will dramatically change for us to experience glory is not scriptural. A life of faith needs consistency.
Let’s look at our perfect example, Jesus. He was always doing amazing things and walking in great power. But we also see that Jesus had a routine. He would always rise up early and go to a solitary place to pray, building his relationship with the Father. That lifestyle of prayer was the foundation to the miracles and wonders. On the day he was about to resurrect Lazarus, he would still make reference to his routine by saying, “Farher, I thank you because you hear me always.”
The power to do the extraordinary is hidden in the ability to stay consistent with what seems ordinary. Examine your routine. What are the first things you do when you wake up? What do you consistently do each day, and where do you think that lifestyle is leading you to? If you are consistent in things of the Spirit, you will experience the power of the Spirit. If you are consistent in things of the flesh, you will experience the corruption of the flesh. There is power in your consistency.
