Topic: It Is Your Season Of Fulfilment

Scripture Reading: Joshua 14:6-14

Caleb had received a promise from God through Moses about his inheritance in the Promised Land. By the time we get to Joshua 14, it is 45 years after the promise was made, Israel was in the Promised Land, but Moses was no longer with them. Caleb, who is now 85 years old, had been holding on to the promise and, at the right time, came to Joshua to demand the fulfilment of the Word. He did not sit idly waiting for the fulfilment. He went after it.

Two things to take note of:
1. Caleb did not tie the fulfilment of the promise to Moses, the vessel, but to God the source. The fulfilment of God’s Word in your life does not depend on the vessel (pastor/prophet) who said it. It depends on the faithfulness of God.

2. When Caleb recognised that this was the right season for the fulfilment of the promise, he went in for it. He did not let his age or change in leadership get in the way. It was promised 45 years ago, but he still had faith for it.

We must be sensitive to know when it is time to press and make a demand on the promises of God. The life of faith is not an idle life. We must enforce what we believe according to the leading of the Holy Spirit. No matter your age or the circumstances around you, when it is your season, press in!
