Topic: Do Not Procrastinate
Scripture Reading: John 4:31-35
Very often, God’s people have a futuristic view of His promises. There is a tendency to push the harvest to a later date because the circumstances around us are not favourable. We have excuses and tangible reasons why it cannot happen now.
In John 5, the cripple at the pool of Bethesda wasn’t expecting to be healed that day, because he felt no one will help him, and other people were better positioned for healing. When his divine moment came, he was still full of excuses. You can miss out on your appointed time if you operate in a cycle of procrastination. Jesus was hungry, but when he noticed an opportunity to minister to the people of Samaria, he was energised. He was not going to wait for his food before seizing this moment. (John 4)
We must be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit to recognize that it is time to receive the harvest. Stop procrastinating and take a step into the harvest that God has for you. Your season is now.
Meditation: Is there a vision or instruction that needs to be acted upon now? There is grace available to help you overcome cycles of procrastination.
