Topic: There Is Abundance In The Wilderness
Scripture Reading: Genesis 21:14-20
Hagar wandered through the wilderness of Beersheba with Ishmael and watched helplessly as they ran out of water. She had left Abraham’s house with just a bottle of water and bread. And right there in the wilderness, she had come to the point of giving up because her child was going to die of thirst.
But in that moment of despair and hopelessness, God sent an angel to her and opened her eyes to see a well of water. She was crying out for a bottle of water in the wilderness when God already had a well available. Her child was not going to die because right there in the wilderness was an abundant supply.
Life often presents wilderness seasons, where we are not fully equipped to deal with the demands placed on us. Rest assured that there is an abundant supply from your Father, no matter how dry the wilderness looks; an abundance of help, resources, and strength. That vision will not die, and you will not be put to shame. Let faith arise in you to receive the abundance made available through grace.
Prayer: Father, thank you for the abundance you have supplied to me through grace.
